I am selling my 1982 KZ750 LTD. I have owned this bike for 2 years and have been riding it all summer but since I have picked up a newer bike that suits me better I have decided to sell this one.
This would be an excellent bike for a newer rider since it has reasonable power and is very linear and predictable, or an excellent upgrade from a smaller bike.
It was sitting for a few years before I bought it so to get it roadworthy this spring I had to replace few things including:
New front and rear tires (Dunlop D404)
New chain
New steering and wheel bearings
New rear brake pads
New battery
I do not believe the bike has ever been crashed or dropped.
The bike is in excellent mechanical condition - It is ready to go and needs nothing except a new rider.
Cosmetically it could do with a little TLC:
There are some small specks of rust showing on the headlight surround and rear brake lever
The paint on the handlebar clamps and instruments is looking somewhat worn
The gas tank and side covers have been repainted but it seems the prep work was not properly done and the paint is chipping and peeling a little bit
All of these things considered I feel it is still an excellent example of the Kawasaki KZ series and is in above average overall condition for its age.
I am asking $1500 or best offer and although I have a storage location for the winter I would like to sell now so that I don't have to deal with storing and insuring it over the winter.
