Well I guess I have found who will be taking all my money when I win the lotto.

No words for how perfect these cars are.

Just unreal

300K plus. Beautiful cars. One of the reason for the huge aircooled market price increases.

My absolute #1 dream car.

The fact they're based on the 964 is a contributing factor in the increased price of those cars, something that has me smiling considerably. First car I've ever owned that has appreciated in value..........probably the last too.

Don't let the username fool you ;)

I've got an 1989 Guards Red C4, you know the 911 variant and colour you buy when you can't afford anything else

After I get my Singer 911... then I will head over to ICON 4x4 and buy one of each of their production models.

As much as i'd love a singer, i think this is more up my alley. I present to you, the Emory Motorsports 356.

I'd rather have a Singer than the 356.

Also, I'd feel really bad taking an ICON to Waiparous. :(

These are the guys driving up the price on the spare space saver wheels from 944s.

I know it's not in the same performance league, but for $300g I'd still take a Equus.

Hey now, I am quite fond of Guards Red ;)

Very surprising though, I most certainly assumed that the username was indicative of what you drove.

My dad has a friend that does custom Land Cruisers (FJ40s) and ships them worldwide, but I can't remember his company name... Anyways, aside from a Singer (which is still my dream car), that would be my custom build of choice.

The username is from a car that he owned when he first signed up for this site. He's been around a long time and while his taste in cars has improved I can assure you that he remains the same asshole he always was. :D

PS: I saw a couple of Singers in Monterey at Rennsport last month. I will see if I can find some pics.

I miss my FC, lots of time and money spent on it. Most of my very good friendships started over a shared love of rotaries, soloracer reluctantly included ;)

Soloracer actually found the car for me. My father has owned a number of 911's over the years and as he gets older I thought it could be an interest we shared. I made the decision to sell he RX-7 and find a nice 911 I could afford. Soloracer had a chance run in with the previous owner got his info, gave it to me and within a week I had bought the car. Really nice and clean car, German guy owned it, very particular maintained it well. I wanted the cleanest car I could afford colour didn't matter. I'm not a red car fan but the Guards Red on black interior is kind of classic and I've come to really like it.

No wasn't me, as I said its kind of the ubiquitous 911 lol, I think there's at least three or four virtually identical cars around town.

It's funny I did my research on what was fair to pay for one when I bought it. I didn't get a steal but I didn't over pay either, I was happy and I think the seller was too. Flash forward only a couple years and it's basically doubled in value  That was in no way planned I assure you :nut:

It was mental for about a year there. It's levelled off in North America a bit, the prices haven't come down but they seem to have plateaued for now. Over seas is a different story it would seem. I keep seeing auction results for 964's over there that I have a hard time believing. Right now with the British Pound at roughly double and clean 964's going for 40-50k pounds, well the math is easy. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about putting mine on a boat.
