Hi,

I am looking to get my two alloy wheel rims repaired from good workshop.

There are small scuffs on two of the wheels and dealership is charging me $120 each to repair the wheels.

I am hoping to get it done under $100. Am I being realistic or is dealership charging me reasonable amount?

Inspection report says:

1X4.0 inch Gouged Repair

and

1X6.5 inch gouged repair.

So you want it done for less than 50 bucks per wheel? I think you are going to be disappointed if that's the goalpost. Its a fair amount of work to fix.

Getting work done at the dealer will never be the cheapest option though. If you search there are a ton of threads, even a few recent, with shop recommendations and even some price quotes i think.

Off the top of my head Andre's is the beyond recommended place to go.

edit: here is the recent thread.

Sounds like at 120 per wheel you are doing pretty good as a user was quoted 125 for a similar job right from the source.

Hmmm...I thought dealerships are always expensive. So in this case I was wrong.

I have no idea if $120 was fair deal.

Thanks for your reply, so now I think that I will let Acura deal with it and charge me $120 per tire as it saves me a ton of work.
