First driver easily avoided the moron. The driver who crashed into moron looks like he's going twice as fast as the others.

Hope the spare tire made it through.

And the same bad asses that took on the Nazis.

Yet, every AMERICAN history book will teach you that the AMERICANS were the heroes.

Propaganda 101.

The Americans don't teach that.

The Russians were hardly heroes in WW2. Talk to someone from East Prussia about how they treated the women. At least 5 members of my family who fought for Germany were captured and placed into red work camps. They died in the 1950's in the gulags.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_prisoners_of_war_in_the_Soviet_Union

According to Edward Peterson, the U.S. chose to hand over several hundred thousand German prisoners to the Soviet Union in May 1945 as a "gesture of friendship".[11] Niall Ferguson maintains that "it is clear that many German units sought to surrender to the Americans in preference to other Allied forces, and particularly the Red Army".[12] Heinz Nawratil maintains that U.S. forces refused to accept the surrender of German troops in Saxony and Bohemia, and instead handed them over to the Soviet Union.[13]

^^^ The Nazis did some bad stuff too. Most of Europe would be speaking German right now if not for the Soviets, while the rest were saying "Better Red than dead."

I'm sorry to say but you won't find much sympathy in most of the free world for the plight of those who "fought for Germany." AKA the Nazis.

Whether it was by choice or not, your relatives were simply on the wrong side of history.

Maybe I'm biased after talking to my Oma about growing up in Germany under the Allied imposed post WW1 depression. All the reparations BS because the french were butt hurt. Lot's of people warned us not to poke the German Lion. And look what it gave rise to. I have no shame with regards to my relatives actions. None of them had involvement with concentration camps. They were farmers who were conscripted. Trade in the scythe for a rifle and here's a uniform. Of course there isn't any sympathy as our education system demonizes the German people and takes zero responsibility for setting the stage for ol' Adolf.

It's really not so simple at all. If Canada were under the same conditions that Germany was forced into post WW1, I'd bet you'd want freedom and food too.

How about my Oma and her family who had to flee East Prussia to escape and live in a Danish refugee camp for three years. War is hell, everyone suffers. It's sad that Canadians have such little sympathy with this in mind.
