Just a heads up for Calgary and area.....
The 'Wild Wednesdays' (Wednesday evening hot rod & classic car gatherings) that have been held at the Grey Eagle casino for the past few years has been MOVED, and will now be held at the MILITARY MUSEUM (formerly 'museum of the regiments').

4520 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary, AB T2T 5J4

(The bridge of Flanders Ave. is under construction, so you may have to enter the back way via 50 Ave.)

Wednesday night gatherings will begin on Wed. June 8th and run throughout the summer each Wednesday evening, with cars starting to gather around 6:30pm.
From what i have been told, they plan to host as many cars on the grass as will fit, and then spill out into the parking lot.
I have also heard that local food trucks and vendors will attend.

Are they show and shine type meets as opposed to BS type meets? Someone was talking about a Friday night show and shine they go to now. Said the one they go to is more formal with a mature crowd which is what I’d probably prefer. Not into the drama filled wannabe FnF scene anymore haha

Yea sounds about right. I wasn’t there for the actual attack but when I showed up someone had brought him a bucket of water and he was dunking his head constantly trying to rinse it out of his eyes, he wasn’t even the intended target if I recall correctly

No, just mostly young skids with shitboxes like it's always been. There are some faster cooler cars that show up, like 5-10% of them.

So I chatted with the guy again and the meets he was referring to I believe are at the Glendeer circle a&w and are part of the cruising the dub show and shines. They happen Every Friday and the guy says it’s a mix of people, no bullshit though and a lot of high dollar cars so you’d get ostracized pretty quick if you pulled any bullshit. Might check it out next Friday
