Trying to book a way-one to Toronto for the end of September to Toronto from Edmonton and prices are ~$325 all-in....does this seem normal/average? Might be out of the loop but this seems high to me...

I've paid significantly higher than that from Calgary to Toronto :D That's one of the most expensive Canadian flights you can go on, sadly. I've paid as low as $450 round trip, and as high as $900 round trip.

So many factors to consider, day of flight, sales, season, etc. Tuesday / Thursdays are cheapest from what I can recall.

That's cheap man. Usually tickets to Toronto are like $600 and up.

Edit: I just realized you're probably talking about one-way and not round trip. Have you used Google Flights? It's pretty awesome for finding prices and I'm pretty sure they have historical data for comparison.

$600ish round trip is pretty average for that trip

That seems normal but if you are not in a rush.. Just wait for a seat sale. They seem to happen once a month or so.

EDIT: If you are not picky on dates.. Just did a quick search on flight hub and there was one for 230 all in on the 26th of sept

That's cheap. We fly out east once a year and typically I pay around $800-$900 round trip. If $325 is all you're paying for a one-way I'd say you are doing good.

Flying within Canada from the West to the East and back is hella expensive.

I've never paid more than $500-600 flying round trip to Toronto or Ottawa, and I've never put in any effort waiting for sales. About half that for 1-way seems not too bad if you don't want to spend a lot of time waiting for a small deal. Sounds like some people are getting hosed on price unless that's Chrismtas or something.

I normally pay 600-700 for round trip to Toronto so that's average

Paying $652 for Calgary-Windsor and Hamilton-Calgary second week of July. Definitely a good price.

It's not cheap but not abnormal

I'm in Ottawa right now. My flight was $762 all in round trip. Same flight went up to $1010 the next day. Booked 2 weeks in advance.

I'll be paying around that for one ticket when I got towards the end of July by the looks of things :(

If it wasn't for my parents 25th anniversary I'd push the dates back but oh well, super super cheap for those who can get in on it.

Quite a bit of price drop today :dunno:

Noticed it as we booked our "end of july" trip to T.O. (was down a good $150-200 from our last couple weeks of watching it). 'Looks like you are heading out September, but seems affordable then too.

Fortunately I waited and snagged a deal!
