Crystal Pepsi will return to store shelves in the United States and Canada later this summer.

PepsiCo announced Wednesday that the clear cola that retro-bloggers remember fondly will be released in 20 ounce bottles starting August 8 in the U.S.

Canadian fans of Crystal Pepsi will get to enjoy the drink nearly a month sooner, starting July 11.

haha, it's funny because the person who made this all possible was a YouTuber calling himself the L.A. Beast. Used to follow him from his funny eating videos. He was a big fan of Crystal Pepsi and got enough attention to it that Pepsi decided to make a limited batch for market. Pretty cool.

Orbitz was horrible. I remember seeing bottle upon bottle of that nasty stuff in the 99 cent bins @ 711 after the hype died down. Sodalicious would be amazing. I'm more excited for Clearly Canadian to be back on the shelves soon.

So found some last night....

When you ask me about food and drink from my youth I can distinctly remember what about 99% of items tasted like.

For example, Tahiti Treat soda, or certain candies, Clearly Canadian, NY Seltzers Sodas....But with Crystal Pepsi; while I remember drinking it when it was originally out, I cannot for the life of me recall the taste of it.

So, that all being said...I thought it didn't really taste like anything...could it have been because it was a mind fuck of drinking a "clear cola" or my tastes have changed as I have gotten older??...no idea...I just know it didn't evoke any nostalgia aside from the retro looking bottle and label haha...

There is a place in Airdrie called the Vintage Soda Company....

I hit that place up all the time, they sell SO man American sodas and confections...as well as many, many, many sodas that are of the Craft variety, or one off, special editions...

And pick up a case of Tahiti Treat once a month from them...

I loved it originally, I like it now! Tastes like Pepsi with a bit of a cinnamon hint at the end. I was hoping opening the bottle and catching the first smell and taste would conjure up some more nostalgic memories, but it was brief....I would buy it by the case
