Just thought I'd leave this here in case it affects any beyonders :)

The urgent advisory covers 2001 and 2002 Honda Civics and Accords, the 2002 and 2003 Acura TL, the 2002 Honda Odyssey and CR-V, and the 2003 Acura CL and Honda Pilot

It doesn't matter.

We are last on the list to receive airbags because we are not hot or humid enough, so risk is lower.

But if you don't know fully history of your car and where it has been, you may want to get on the waiting list. There are 29M inflators recalled but could be up to 120M inflators have the same issue just in USA alone.

So even if Takata dedicated all manufacturing capacity to make new inflators for recalls, it will take them up to 6 years to replace them all.

Here is the list of impacted cars, if you are worried, ditch your car instead of waiting on your recall inflator.

BTW BMW is hit HARD by this recall too.

Wouldn't just having dealers de-activate the airbags as an interim thing be an option?

They are doing that in US. Not sure about Canada

Toyota and GM basically disable the airbag and handing out don't sit in the front seat sticker.

Again, in US tests, only 50% of it failed and that's in hot and humid states. So you weight your risk and see if disable is the way to go.

Nothing new, Takata knew and this been going on for the past ten years. Now that Takata is bankrupt, whose paying for the recalls???

No Jeep on that list, but I am sure I read somewhere they were affected.
Dodge did both my 06's airbags pretty quickly.

Honda West and Okotoks Honda were able to quickly replace my Drivers Side and Passenger Side front airbags. I think by now the parts should be in good supply.
