Is anyone able to run a Honda radio code and save me a trip to the dealership? Its a 2006 CRV.

I have checked all the usual places to see if it had been written down with no luck!

Thanks
Craig

Call the Honda Parts dept and give them your vin. They will give you the code, no need to head down there.

I thought they were sticky on you needing to provide ownership.

You know, in case you want to steal a 10 year old OEM stereo :)

I had to head down to the dealer to retrieve the code (Honda West). Bring the car in with the radio showing "enter code" or whatever it is and they will retrieve it for you. They couldn't do anything over the phone.

I've done it a few times, for keys they are sticky on needing to provide ownership. Just tell them you changed your battery and now your radio says CODE.

Key in Accessory mode
Turn the Radio off
Press and hold 1 & 6 at the same time
while you're hold 1&6 use your other hand to turn the power back on the radio
The screen will pop up with 2 sets of numbers
write those numbers down, and call your honda/acura dealership and tell them you have the upper and lower serial number

They will use those to decode it and get you the actual radio code

in my five years, i have never asked anyone to prove to me they owned the car.
who the fuck would steal an OEM radio
