Well here we are on September 24, 2016 and I still have not seen any frost at our place. Not on the ground, not on my vehicle and not on any roof in the area and in fact, my cherry tomato plant is still doing quite fine in the back yard. In fact, it is looking like no frost until October now - quite amazing for Calgary.

I am curious though if anyone else in Calgary had seen frost at their place this fall?

Had frost 2 weeks ago 60 km to the south.

Have had frost many times in McKenzie Towne area, even in July and August.. Granted it wasn't on the ground but on the vehicles

That's dew, not frost.

When i need to scrape it, I count it as frost

I think the entire province has had frost a few times in the last few weeks, except south Calgary apparently.

It's frozen dew, because even though the material it formed on (glass) was below zero, the air was still at the dew point, not the frost point. OP is referring to the frost point, where the first "killing frost" forms on plants and on the ground. He's right, we've had some warnings but haven't had our first killing frost yet.

I am on the western edge and had -3 deg C two weeks ago, last week on Wed was -1 deg C (have to weather stations on premises), in addition we had few days (morning) at ) deg. C. All delicate plats in the garden are gone (zucchinis, tomatoes etc.) started to harvest the rest. Depending on where you are in the city, you may experience low temps.

Most definitely a killing frost at our place this morning, heavy on the roofs, the vehicles and lawns. Not bad though, easily over 120 frost free days this year.

Hardest frost of the year so far, but I don't think it was "killing" here in my inner-city heat island. Pretty normal for us to have overnight temps four or five degrees warmer than other areas of the city.
