Move to Wind or Freedom Mobile. It's gotten a hell of a lot better since I joined back when it started in Calgary.

If you're traveling to BC or to USA it's still half decent. I'd say Telus still is best in Canada for coverage.

USA is insanely good for Wind. $15/month unlimited everything. Good speeds too.

I switched over with no issues so far. Never had any issues (that I know of) with reception.

Dave, can you link some of the posts regarding the no service issue?

Changed my parents to this on Thursday and its been smooth. Everything is the same as when they were with Koodo.

My port went smooth as silk on Friday. Within 10 minutes I was up and running with my old Telus number (of over 15 years) ported to PM. All weekend it worked fine. Then Monday...in and out of service. By last night I can't make any calls, texts, connections...nothing.
Try to email company for support, their website email function isn't working.
I go to the support forum and it's just inundated with problems and no responses or support.

Still no incoming call after 5 days, and no response from PUBLIC (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/Still-no-incoming-call-after-5-days-and-no-response-from-PUBLIC/m-p/106179#U106179)

New account activation failed, can't login, no service, please help (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/New-account-activation-failed-can-t-login-no-service-please-help/m-p/106189#U106189)

Terrible Support by PM - I so regret - 10th day NOT RECEIVING CALLS OR TEXTS (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/Terrible-Support-by-PM-I-so-regret-10th-day-NOT-RECEIVING-CALLS/m-p/106163#U106163)

13 days...can't receive calls or SMS but data works so I've got that going for me... (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/13-days-can-t-receive-calls-or-SMS-but-data-works-so-I-ve-got/m-p/103521#U103521)

tried porting number, now no service (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/tried-porting-number-now-no-service/m-p/104723#U104723)

Their Facebook page is filled with the same.

Public Mobile IS Telus. Same network, same towers. It's not coverage, it's not being able to connect to the mobile network. VPN settings search and search and can't find the PM network. When it does find it, it's only connected for a few minutes, then "can't connect to network".

Seems like you have a different problem to what most people have which is a porting issue. Weather they entered incorrect information or the system was busy and the porting was stuck or incomplete.

Since you were working fine and it just went dead after the weekend.

Have you checked your mobile network and APN settings?

There are many with the same problems as well as others. Locked out of account, New phone number, new sim not working...I just grabbed links of the top page.

Yes I've played with my VPN settings. Over and over. It will find the network the odd time, but won't stay connected. I've hard re-booted, factory re-set, re-inserted SIM, tried a different phone....I even turned it off and then on again!! :D

Ahh ok i was thinking post after post of the exact same problem you're having. 95% of the problems I've seen are porting related including the ones you listed where it never worked 100% to begin with.

Have you tried tweeting them?

Haha thanks Dave now I want to switch to these guys.

What a wonky way to sell phones plans. 10/30/90 days? The pricing seems better than Telus regular once you work through the math.

:( spoke too soon. I had some issues this afternoon with no reception. I rebooted my phone just now and everything seems normal but I was definitely out for 30ish minutes
