Just wondering what people have in their homes with respect to water piping? There are probably 5 major types we might see in Calgary - my 1955 bungalow is all copper (sewer as well). When I rebuilt my second bathroom 8 years ago I went all copper there as well - did the work myself.
5 common types as best as I can figure are copper, galvanized steel, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) and PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) which consist of PEX-A, PEX-B and PEX-C.

Dont forget the good ol' Poly-B that is prevalent throughout town..
I have a bit of Poly B in my house...kind of want to proactively replace but dont want to drop $5k. Rest of it is copper

Nickel. Would not have it any other way.
I really have zero idea, they are pipes. The less I know means I am not spending money on them.

Unless they're Poly-B. Then you'll either be replacing pipes, or replacing pipes, walls, floors at some point.
