I don't want to say too much in case it pans out. And to be 100% honest, I haven't told anyone about it, and I have been doing some cursory research on it, and it appears that at least in Alberta, there isn't anyone doing it...yet...

But, my question is, how easy is it to work with insurance companies and such for being called in to do work for them? Like for example, how do you get involved with insurance companies to be on their list of companies to call when shit hits the fan? Same goes for emergency services like fire and police?

Relationships with the company or the adjusters..some of them do public bids as well.

No, I figured most people would have thought because of my handyman background, this was what i was looking for...but no, a completely different realm.

no, my idea has nothing to do with construction, at all.

It is in more in the terms of specific types of recovery. It not something that will be huge in southern alberta, more northern. But it could easily become province wide and spill into neighboring provinces.
