Anybody know of any car washes that are still open this week? My usual 2 were closed due to the temperatures. It is a super first world problem but I am OCD about washing my car every other day. I park underground at work and in my condo so I am not too worries about it freezing.

You don't have a wash bay at your condo's parade? How not first world is that?

I remember a lot of the wand washes by Whitehorn train station were open in weather like this when I used to live up there, they made a killing on all the taxis. Cars stay super clean in this weather, pretty much the only good thing about it.

So... wait. You actually wash your car every other day?

That's like a grand just for car washes in a year.

Am I abnormal in only washing mine every week or two?

If you're washing it every other day. I'm sure a loonie in the wand wash is more than enough. So he's probably around $200 give or take.

Trust me, I searched for a condo with car wash inside forever but I liked this condo enough that I let it go. If Portofino didn't have envelope issues I would be happily washing my car there every day!

Perfect! I will check it out! All my usual spots stayed open last year but I guess we never got a 2 week deep freeze.

I am just weird. I genuinely enjoy washing my cars. Detailing is mildly cheaper than therapy! I also spend 2-3 months out of town during the year so it is somewhere around the 1K mark. I am certain most beyond ballers spend way more than that on their hobbies.

I don't think I've ever seen a car wash closed for weather. Am I a crazy person? I just go to regular wand washes though. I don't have anything that can go through a go go gadget car wash.

That is correct. Their auto wash is closed, however the wand wash area is still open. Took my car there this morning.

Ok.... but that's not a wash. That's a rinse.

Granted I'm not as picky in wet or winter weather, but my wand washes typically cost $4-$5 for an even acceptable job, and I move relatively quickly.

There's one in Douglasdale by the mcdonalds on 24th street and deerfoot trail. It's the paws and wheels car wash. And it is open right now cuz i just came from there to rinse off the suv.
