How fucking weird would that be. To wake up and be on someone else's body.

How do you get two people to agree to this?

Dibs on Kate Upton's body.

I would assume there's no lineup for M.alex based on total height, though not bumping my head on the towel bar could be a plus.

So I would imagine that the person would be a quad if they can pull it off no? They still have not figured out how to fix a broken spine let alone a severed head!

Such a weird concept to think about. Where does the donor body come from??? Like where do you get a healthy enough body to do this?

When will we get Futurama head in a jar technology? :nut:

What about the philosophical ramifications?

Will he wake up feeling like himself? Will he feel like a stranger in "his own" body?

So many interesting questions.

I can't wait to see this happen.

I have a real issue with this being called a head transplant and not a body transplant.

So if the head was from an avid cyclist and the body is Michael Schumacher, would the final product be for or against bike lanes?

Don't give them ideas to make another human centipede.

I would think the individual would actually be themselves, of course, but it might take them a long time (if it is even possible) to "recalibrate" their mind to using the new body. Look at what happens to people with severe head trauma, they may be "them", but even though the connections are fine, they have difficulty manipulating their own body.

Presumably everyone's body signals are just the slightest amount of different/with variation, so while I think it could be done, I don't know if it would lead to a high quality of life.

The better question is, when do we start seeing bodies grown with no head for body transplants? The brain ages, but my understanding is that there are some drugs for treating things like cystic fibrosis (?) that slow brain aging and/or stop it. Cystic might not be the right one, not sure.

I found the human pig to have more merit.

I mean really, human pigs.

Now we're thinking ahead!
