NHL Scouts at Max Bell

Apparently, we had over 40 NHL scouts last night at Max Bell Arena for a game between the Brooks Bandits (1st place) and the Calgary Canucks (2nd Place)

Among others, was Shawn Horcoff and Kris Draper from the Red Wings, as well as a TV camera from TSN. All the attention for the Bandits' Cale Makar (http://globalnews.ca/news/3196026/brooks-bandits-cale-makar-has-chance-to-make-history/), who will likely be drafted by the NHL directly from the AJHL. Very few times has this been accomplished.

Not to take anything away from the kid cause I'm sure he's talented, but god I hate how they throw around the term "generational player" for every other prospect slated to go first overall.

Yeah, that came from that Tyler King, Brooks' announcer. The biggest "Homer" you've ever heard. It's almost embarrassing how lopsided his views are. Guy's an idiot.
