Hey guys, i know theres a lot of lawyers on here so im hoping someone can clarify on how to do a power of attorney for my mom. Shes getting older so we want to have something in place just in case, i talked to a lawyer and their fee is anywhere from $500-$1000 but i also found online that it can be done without a lawyer if its not complicated and my moms isnt. Shes got a house(paid off), some small investments and a savings account but no loans.

Should we be hiring a lawyer or can we just type something up? Thanks in advance!

Interested in topics like this as well.
there's three related documents, isn't there?
- Will
- Power of Attorney
- Personal directive
