hey,
ive been looking for a console since the past month and have also researched on them a bit... wht i found was 360 leads the league for now considergin games and the support online.. but ps3 is not too far behind in the race, also after reading one of the threads agains xbox360 ive been in a jinx. I just dont kno which console to go for. id like to play movies but they wont b too often. The main purpose is for games and im not tht crazy abt blue ray player.

360 man, simply because it has the most games, and is the most versatile, IMO. Its kind of hit and miss with 360, sometimes they break, sometimes they go forever. I think MS has most of the quirks worked out now, i dont think they use the cruddy dvdrom that is in mine anymore. I have nothing against ps3, i like it as well, but i still prefer the 360 controllers as well over the ps controllers.


Get an Elite for the same price as a ps3 and call it a day

i am a huge playstation fan and was not a supporter of the original xbox over the ps2 but after playing both, i decided to go with the 360. Better/More games, great online/live mode, very easy to use and has more features then the ps3.

It's really an easy choice when you sit down and compare both and play both! PS3 might make a comeback in the future but right now its microsoft thats leaving sony in the dust.

360. online gameplay is awesome. have you tried NHL 08 on ps3....brutal.

I think both systems are good....the 360 has a year on the ps3 in terms of games and for that reason the 360 might have an advantage now...that being said in the last month there have been some wicked games come out for the PS3 ie....call of duty 4 assasins creed, and a few more so i think in the next year to come the PS3 will show its true colors as companies are just starting to take advantage of its power....and lets no forget grand turismo 5!!!!!!!!!!!!That game looks so sick!!!!

i like ps3s. im pretty sure im going to get one for xmas. but im still undecided but i prob wouldnt play live

I am having the same debate with myself. I have previously owned a PS3 but sold it (kicking myself ever since). I have been a PS fan since day one, thats what I have always had. The only reason I am considering the 360 is because of Forza2, but on the other hand GT5 is on its way soonish and I think it will be as good if not better then Forza.

I like the PS controllers better.. I guess it all comes down to what YOU want..

I think i`ll be getting the PS3 again and just waiting for GT5

EDIT: Its kind of unfair to compair games as well because the 360 has been out a year longer! Sony is working on the online stuff as well, its only a matter of time before the online play is as good if not better.

Awe thats too bad.

Main reason i'm getting PS3 is cuz dad is looking into gettin a blu-ray player and for me, well im pretty much a die-hard GT fan so GT5 is a must for me. And as some of you have already pointed out, PS3 is gonna catch up in terms of game selection as its already starting. PS3 graphics > xbox360 from what i've seen.

Ive been really keeping up-to-date with GT5 features and I gotta say...its really got me sold (even if i wasnt a GT fan)...check IGN and gtplanet.net for some real juicy info.

The online play aspect is really going to be phenomenal as long as they have the right divisions and classes of races (as opposed to free for alls...where we have le man cars racing little suped up econocars...and for fuck sakes we better be able to use the cars WE tune for online races). I hate playing split screen racing games, the online thing really solves the problem. As for the usual forza vs gt debate...i think some of the forza tracks are kinda poorly laid out (and lacks variety...they're mostly made-up tracks and not city/road courses) and feels awkward where as the GT tracks just seem to flow better and make more sense, while keeping it fun and challenging.

Ps. They are gonna have the Top Gear test track as a playable track! In addition, they partnered up with them to supply Top Gear episodes through GT-TV (which is gonna have best motoring, D1 grand prix, JGTC, wrc, etc videos)

i find the PS2/3 pad the most comfortable and versatile pad for all genres of games, try playing street fighter with the x360 pad and dont tell me it doesnt suck donkey balls

360 just has amazing online gameplay and FPS games, but if your more of a RPG guy, go for PS3..I can't wait until final fantasy 13 comes out!

still confused with the variety of moods in this thread ... but im more inclined towards 360. and also online gaming wont b too much as i dont have a fast internet connection and have no plans to get it in the near future.
