Pontiac G8 Coupe quote:

I say drop the G8 Sport Truck or add the G8 Coupe to the line up, Pontiac. This would be yet another impressive looking car for them and GM. However, they say chances of this car being made is about 50/50 at the moment. A good big modern Pontiac coupe without retro styling, waaay better than the latest GTO.

They should be hung, and tried, and shot. As any war criminal should be. But the challenges that we face, they go way beyond administrations, way beyond elections, way beyond every four years of pulling levers, way beyond that. Because this whole rotten system has become so vicious and cruel that in order to sustain itself, it needs to destroy entire countries and profit from their reconstruction in order to survive and that's not a system that changes every four years, it's a system that we have to break down, generation after generation after generation after generation after generation...Wake up." - RATM, Coachella 2007. It will probably be bigger, more luxurious, and more expensive than the Camaro. It would be a nice alternative for those looking for a more mature but still really quick coupe.

Depends... the camaro styling may be a bit too extreme for some.

I agree! The interior of the Camaro is going to be a POS while the G8 is going to be great.

The chassis and engines will likely be identical between the two, so this is just like having a TransAm version without the flaming chicken.

The Camaro isn't even fucking out yet and people are already calling the interior cheap... go haters!
In case you didn't get the memo, GM makes nice interiors now.. see the recent Corvette interior upgrade, the new Chev trucks, Cadillacs, the new Pontiacs, etc.

LOL, calling me a hater without even knowing the facts...here is the interior. Try telling me that it is even remotely decent...

I agree that the interior of the Camaro is questionable. I've never liked the interior styling. Exterior: That's another matter.

I like this G8 coupe. I think it looks exactly like a domestic sport coupe should. Besides, perhaps, the colour...

A low-res, uncleaned, proto-type interior...

I'll base my decision when i see pictures on GM's website or after sitting in one.

I'll reserve judgment until production version is out. After these photos were leaked and the followed backslash, sounds like they are "tweaking" the interior.

Anyway, I don't know if we have that big of a coupe market. If G8 coupe is made, G6 coupe probably will be the casualty (good riddance).

How much detail do you need? The layout just plain sucks. It doesn't matter how much they clean it, the gauges behind the shifter and the pod-like potrusion of the gauges and dash are brutal. Just more evidence of the retro theme gone bad. The Mustang interior has the same retro problem.
