Lobster sub @ Subway (reviews, rants, comments) quote:

Was working on Canada Day, went to Subway, looked up at the menu and saw "$30.98" so I thought it must had been some party tray.

Upon further reading, I realized it was a sub with real lobster meat salad... The pricing were like $8 for 6" and $15 for 6" double meat... and 12" for $21 and 12" for $30.98 double meat (that's the highest amount I remembered exactly)

Not sure if it's in Calgary yet, but the chick said it started on Canada Day until August 10, 2008.

Rant: Like holy fuck we take turns buying lunches on the crew, this could legitmately turn into a $95 lunch without drinks. ($30.98 *3 + tax = $97.59). What the hell are they thinking? Who's stupid enough to get the $30 instead of Boston Pizza or East Side or a local pub steak.

Review: I only bought the 6" single meat for $8, and combined it with a poorman 6" Pizza. Something so grand like this they shouldn't package it like any other sub, they should have had some "lobster tail" printed paper instead, so that was disappointing.

The anticipation wasn't bad since it's coming from a fast food joint. But then you start unwrapping this thing (from my experience), the whiff of clam chowder egg salad will even send reality down Harry Potter's spine the existence of Hogwarts, make Dorothy realize she's not in Kansas anymore.

Because the reality of matter is, I'm betting this is just a marketing spin to rid of some over-fished, expiring frozen lobster meat in someone's (huge distributor) warehouse.

Care was taken when tasting this sub, but nothing shakes off that cheesy "sub bread smell" out of this overpriced meal. For us regular folks who don't purchase $95 lunches, you won't even tell the difference between their cheaper seafood (fake crab) salad sub, maybe just add a couple artificial lobster drops. Furthermore, you just can't remove that white skeleton flake (bones I guess), so you keep biting into shit that keeps getting stuck between your teeth during a fast lunch meal.

Anyways, anyone with experience?

I looked, laughed and asked if anyone was dumb enough to spend $30 bux on a sub. It's really gotta make you wonder who in the upper echelon of subway lost their job for this fiasco. Dumbest thing I have ever seen in a fast food joint

If i wanted lobster i'd get it somewhere else personally. Plus I don't think i would really enjoy lobster in a sub. So it's always the sweet onion sub or cold cut combo for me, on honey oat bread.

You know guys, that was rude of me to imply such a thing.

Just to clarify, the dripping "greasy mayo" that I speak of wouldn't be there until I left. Sorry for any confusion/misunderstandings that comment may have caused, she is a very clean lady.
