Default Do you recline your seat on a plane?

I flew back from Saint John's yesterday and this guy slams his seat back as soon as the seatbelt sign goes off and keeps it there for the entire flight. I had just taken out my computer and it was now in my gut and I couldn't even see the screen because of the extreme angle. At first I pushed his seat back up and kept my arm on it so he couldn't get it back again but he figured it out. I just think it's inconsiderate if you know there's someone behind you, I refuse to put mine back if there's someone there. Do people just not care?

Yeah i only recline mine like an inch or 2 just so its a tad more comfortable. I hate people who slam them all the way down and think its fine to be laying in the lap of the person behind you lol.

Don't like it - move to first class...more room less complaining. You could recline your seat before you were able to have a laptop on a plane.

I don't like it when someone in front of me reclines, therefore I don't do it.

If I do, I'll recline it for like 1cm so that it's barely even noticeable.

What time was this flight? If it was in the evening and everyone was passed out I would think it's okay, but if it's in the middle of the afternoon, then he should of been a bit more considerate.

I recline mine. Its not even bad if the other person in front of me reclines I can still use my laptop.

If the person behinds me asks me to bring up my seat ill do it no problem ie people with long legs.
If they are jackasses about it ill leave it down even farther.

Of course I recline, that's what its there for. And I don't get offended when someone in front of me does it, that's why I do it.
If you want to use your laptop and you weigh 300lbs, then ask me nicely and I'll give you some space.

Wheels up, my seat is reclined. If you require more room to work, recline your seat.

i always recline, its there so you can do it. I paid for my seat and i'll do what i want with it. Mostly because any time i fly its 10 plus hours and those seats suck as it is.

I recline. Any flight is too long to sit there all crunched up, I usually sleep most of the time anyhow.

The only time reclining bugs me is if we are eating on a flight, then I put my seat back up. You could see the potential for spillage if someone slams their seat back while eating/drinking with the table down.

It's selfish reclining it. I've had many flights ruined by this and would never do it out of respect for the people behind me. It's just ignorant slamming it back, especially when you're trying to eat etc.
Mr. Madison, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
