Not sure if this has been posted but I initially saw the 2nd video below regarding the Financial Crisis in the states and looked a bit further into Khan Academy and am actually quite impressed with it. I really like the idea of learning online. I'm one of those types who learns really well on my own at my own pace, as opposed to in a typical classroom or lecture setting. And being a fairly electronically inclined individual and learning so much from the internet already in my life, I think this is a great step in the right direction.

Kind of on a different topic but in his CNN interview he mentions dumping the old corrupt banking system and implementing a new one... sounds like a better idea than perpetuating the shit one

The great thing about teaching topics via podcast is that you can potentially teach tens of thousands of people a year whereas a teacher/professor in a class room is limited to the size of the class (30-100 per year). It seems wasteful to have a brilliant professor and only have him or her reach less than a hundred people a year.

not for the ridiculous tuition fees they wanna charge I can understand that but really like this guy for teaching for the sake of spreading knowledge
