U.S Cop cars in Calgary

Some US cop cars will be seen around town for the TV show Fargo.

It was on the CPS police FB.

Film Production Involving Police Vehicles.

Over the next six months you may see a number of police vehicles from the United States on some Calgary roads.

This is part of production filming for the new TV series ‘Fargo’. Numerous scenes will be filmed in and around the Calgary area and will likely continue until May 2014.

As part of the filming, the production company will be using a variety of different marked police vehicles made to look as if they are from the City of Bemidji Police and Duluth Police.

We are aware of the production, who are working in co-operation with the Calgary Economic Development Film Office.

I met Billy Bob today! He was in my store shopping for some new western boots! Really nice guy, cool to meet and talk to him for a bit.

Stumbled upon some filming today. Farm east of Okotoks. Sign on the side of the road that said "Set --->" so I decided to take a look. 2 minutes later a black and white police 90's Caprice or Crown Vic comes driving the other way:p Few minutes later come across a farm that's packed with cars and spotted a few cameras. Didn't stick around, just drove by then again on my way back. Saw another looky-loo snapping pictures from the road.

Pretty neat! Probably watch just to spot landmarks, if it turns out to be a good show then even better.

I had no idea about this until now. They were filming on my street before christmas (18ave @ 8st SW). It looked like a huge deal, big production crew and a ton of trucks. I saw a folding chair with "...Thornton" on the back.. so I guess that was probably it. Nice to finally know what was going down haha.

They film at one of the gas stations in Ogden most weeks.
Whereabouts east of Okotoks?
