Default REVIEW: Dave the Tile Guy

Dave the Tile Guy / www.davethetileguy.ca

I had my kitchen and bathroom cabinets/doors refaced/replaced in July and decided to do the backsplash as well. Dave hit me up and got the ball rolling for us.

TL;DR: Dave made great recommendations, helped us find the right tile, did the job in under two days, did great work, is a good guy all around, and he deserves your business.

The long and short of it is that my wife and I are doing a gradual reno of our kitchen and two bathrooms. We started by having the cabinets refaced in July, and now the tile work by Dave Up next is new light fixtures and toilets for both bathrooms.

Dave suggested we tile right to the roof around the shower area. We said "do it", and "do it" he did. Looks fantastic! The pics below aren't even close to really showing off the work he did.

What I like about Dave is that he treated me like a person and not a credit card. He chatted with us about our options, made suggestions, etc. We never felt like he was trying to "upsell" us, and every suggestion he made improved the end result. This guy knows what he's doing.

He was on-time, worked on a holiday Monday, and even brought me a coffee

In the end he charged a fair price, took great care of us and our home, and left us with a terrific result. We are very happy and impressed with his professionalism and his quality.

My before pics suck, but here they are:

We didn't realize just how much the tile would "complete" the look until it was done, but what a difference it's made! His workmanship is also top notch- good spacing between tiles, everything looks even, etc.

We're going to repaint both bathrooms to show off the tile work.

    Thanks Dave!
