Out of curiosity how much should I pay just for a pro to tape and mud and smooth out the drywall for about 600 sq ft?? I'm not confident i can do it myself without it looking like shit lol

My taper bud says labour cost to mud/tape is usually close to the same as the cost of the drywall materials installed. Plus cost of mud, tape and corner material. Plus about 400 for basic ceiling stipling. I think i paid my taper 1200 for about the same size space.

About the ceiling guy...I don't know, but probably. He was pretty quick and professional.

The guys our basement developer use are Kamber Drywall. They haven't done work yet in our house but i've seen work done by these people in the past on other projects and it's pretty good.

Update: Changing my recommendation now based on personal experience. Idiots don't have the respect to lock the doors upon exit when they have a key shows a lack of professionalism. I would go elsewhere.

    I would bet it is.
Spray watered down drywall compound let it sit for 10 to 15 min. Then lightly scrape.
Seems easy to do but then so does mudding and taping.

I'm in SW Florida right now, and they do it backwards: orang peel walls and smooth ceilings!

Hoping to get a few different quotes.

Anyone have more suggestions for drywallers?
