Dishwasher Repair

The dishwasher at my rental property isn't working properly anymore. My new tenants tell me that when they go to wash the dishes the soap tablet isn't dissolving. When they change the settings it dissolves it a bit further but the regular setting isn't working properly.

Someone mentioned it might be the heating element but I have no idea how to fix/replace anything and don't want to do more damage than good.

Any chance any of you Beyonders know how to fix this or can recommend any good repair folks?

have them run an empty cycle and see if it works then.

whats the model of the dishwasher?

This is a common issue. Dispenser opens a bit and it won't dissolve.

Over overloading the utensil racks with large utensils. My girlfriend does this all the time.

But to be honest its generally cheaper to just buy a new dishwasher unless this is a high end model.

Mine needs a glob of margarine into the center of the bottom water-spinner every few months, for nearly a decade now.
