TLDR,
Order your Tesla before Jan 1,2017 and have it delivered before Apr 1, 2017 to keep your forever Supercharger access privilege.
EDIT: After deadline, you are only entitled to 400kw/1000mile/year free.

Not that existing owners get unlimited access anyway. Didn't Tesla send out notifications to owners last year that used the superchargers too often?

Well Tesla's supercharger usage language was vague. It's said unlimited "long distance" travel. But never had anything or any way to enforce this or qualify what "long distance" is. And most Tesla buyers end up believing it's unlimited.Originally posted by kenny

Interesting.
This is an old interview, but he specifically says that the Tesla supercharger stations will be available forever at not cost. He also says that they will be powered by solar. And that the yearly production via solar will out pace the use of each supercharging station.
