Default What to do in Montego Bay, Jamaica?

So to those of you who have been to Jamaica, what is there to see and do?

I will be going there for 1 week next month and will be traveling with 2 other friends.

    ^agree

    Red stripe.

YS falls was fun as hell, swimming in that pool was amazing.

    Ocean was okay.

    Jerk chicken was OG.

    Appleton rum factory was cool.

Overall okay island. We stayed at The Grand Palladium.

Fun fact: Dude who had just won $33,000,000 Lotto from Calgary was on our flight (Air Transat) sitting coach, trying to be discrete as hell, got so mad when people were congratulating him.

    Enjoy.

Make a day trip to Negril and hang out on the beach. Then next time you go back to Jamaica you will realize you should have stayed in Negril.

i had a blast in montego bay. I had maybe 2-3 hours sleep a night for the first few nights. Pier one was a bar on a dock. Great way to get drunk and not sweat your balls off as your in an open air bar.

Margaritta ville was best on ladies night.. good music lots of fun. We went on 3 different nights and bar hopped on the one night it wasnt great.

There is a strip club within walking distance of margaritta ville that we also stopped at.

The strippers licked our ears and tried forcing us into a dance but the one stripper with 10 peircings around her yoo hoo didnt give us much confidence the dance would be very good. Overall the strip club was terryfying yet hilarious at the same time. Everywhere we went we got propisitioned by hookers. If your into that youll have even more fun.

The day we booked our fishing trip was the night after we partied till 3 am on the bar on the pier... by the time we got back to the hotel and slept it was 430 am and Up for 6 am to get to the boat at the bar we had just left.

Skip the climb up the waterfall.. its super lame... definitely check out negril. The party boat was an okay time.. but definitely Get out and enjoy the night life if your into drinking and dancing. It seemed the party hotel was the holiday inn... we stayed at the iberostar which had a decent night club that was pretty busy when compared to many resorts.

Are you talking about Dunns River Falls, closer to Ocho Rios?
Try it during rainy season, wasn't boring to me.

Or check out the "Blue Hole" which is close to Dunns River Falls. Basically hiking up a waterfall and cliff dive into fresh water along the way. Awesome. Dont forget to get brownies on the way back you cant miss the guy selling on the side of the road.

Thanks for the info guys. Do they have trips to Negril or do I need to rent a vehicle for the day?

I will be staying at the Hilton Rose.

Yeah my post should have read "just go to negril"

Rick's Cafe, the rock house, 3 dives (best jerk chicken I've ever had in my entire life, and I say that as I'm currently eating jerk at an OG Toronto jerk spot)

    Thanks for all the tips.

    Did the following:

    - Scuba Diving in Montego Bay.
    - Day trip to Negril and Ricks Cafe, jumped the cliff.
    - Black River and YS Falls.
    - Margerita Ville & Taboo.
    - Scotchies Jerk Chicken.

Great trip. Next time I will spend more time in Negril. The water there is amazing.
