since some of mine are picked all ready
COS Canadian Oil sands
CLL just jumped but what the hell.
WLC because I like to live dangerously
SU & RIM would have been two of my choices.

Yep, I was trying to decide between SU and COS - SU seems a bit better from a technical standpoint at the moment so I went with it.
I think both will greatly benefit by a pipeline approval in 2012.
For sure 20 years from now COS & SU are going to be two very good stocks to have owned.
I will gladly track these again. My picks.
1) BOE.V
2) Lun.to
3) lpr.to
I will switch GFS to LUN

On Sabbatical
ORT
PCJ.A
ATD.B
I only think the first one might do big moves while the other two are more of blue-chip types I think might do some gains. I was gone to the US all week so couldn't post earlier (still posted before open).
GLTA

I don't think they have to be unique picks.

One user messaged me to see if there would be any interest in weighting your picks. In example 25% pick 1, 45% pick 2, 30% pick 3. What do you guys think? We could say everyone get 100,000 and whoever has the most cash at the end of the year wins?
I'd be ok with that, how would that work though now that we've already started?
And how do we make sure everyone sends in their weighting? Some may not be checking this thread very often...
I'm just realizing how messed up this competition is now with no risk adjusted returns.. haha. Proper leveraging and margin too.. In which case I could theoretically take over 200 contracts on my spread! lol
Maybe I'm being ostentacious.

This is a car forum. I think the contest should be set up in a straight forward manner. Lets assume cash only transactions, no use of margin/leverage.Originally posted by themack89

Also, this is a "fun" contest.... no prizes. Why do you want to make it so complicated? Maybe you should play over on the CFA forums or something. You sure talk a big game. How about you post up your trades for the past couple years. How have you made out?

That sounds rather complicated, why don't we stick to an averaged (equal weighted) percentage gain of the 3 stocks each user selected?
