I think they are supporting android auto also so maybe both, or it could just be a software update on the smaller screen?

The MK4 felt more planted on the ground and I believe it had hydraulic steering because it didn't feel floaty vs. my MK6.

Seats are better in the MK4 but there's more room and goodies in the MK6.

Plus that turbo is ridiculous. I had to replace the differential controller on mine to get where I want it to be.

pricing is better than I expected, and compared to the S3 - it feels like a no-brainer.

Almost makes me want to place an order for one, but my GTI is only a few years old so it's hard to justify right now.

Yes I believe Android Auto is also supported. I don't think it will retrofit to older models. The updates only come with the new hardware offered in 2016 models. This is part of the reason I have been waiting for 2016 models.

I think you are right. Although they promised Android Auto last year in 2015. But i think it'll be 2016 model year showing up later this year.

Still would be nice if Android auto is confirmed for R.
