acceptable cracking on concrete new build quote:

I forget what the acceptable limit of cracking is on a new build on the basement concrete floor. I feel like mine is definitely borderline.

does anyone know off hand or is it different for every builder?

Cracking is commonplace in basements and nothing to really worry about, even in new builds. I had several long cracks in my basement floor within the 1st year after construction.

From a story I recall on the news about a guy with a badly cracked garage slab. They used a quarter as a test, can't remember how deep into the crack it has to go, though.
