    Default Bedliner paint job?

Anybody have experience with painting an entire vehicle in bed liner? My van conversion is low enough miles (< 95,000) that it'll run forever so I'd like to rust proof it for cheapish (already have rust patches coming through). It's a mountain bike hauler so spends enough time on gravel/forestry/off roads that all I really care about is durability. No show room finish needed here, probably just a light/white color to minimize heat from the sun, and some black along the rocker panels/fenders for style.

Anyways just wondering what I could expect a body shop to charge to do something like raptor line an entire cargo van, and what specific shops I should talk to about this. I hear it's cheaper than paint because it's thicker and fills dents meaning less bodywork needed...

Is there lots of rust on the vehicle? Or is it just the lower sections?

Because if it is not rusted too bad then I would just do the lower sections (maybe lower 12" and where its rusted). Bed liner can get pretty expensive when they do it to the whole vehicle.

Also, I would suggest using armaguard or a liner similar to that. It is very durable and is not rubbery like certain box liners.

I had my quad bumpers done with it and it did not stain from the mud.

I'd really like to do that to my truck but not at that price unfortunately.

It's not bad, the worst spot(s) are definitely the rockers but pretty much every scratch it's acquired over the years is starting to rust, and the rain drainage channels on the roof aren't too great but not terrible.

Plus the paint is flaking off on the roof which just looks bad. And is also a huge piss off because the roof was pretty much perfect when I bought the van 3ish months ago.

For full size trucks I think it will be closer to 6 or 7K... for a whole van, probably a lot more. I would say that is about 60-70% of the cost of having your vehicle professionally re-painted.

Finish wise it was really nice, it even had a bit of a sparkle in the sun. I would recommend line-x over rhino liner for sure in this type of application. I had people coming up to me constantly commenting on how neat it looked. Super easy to clean (You can use the tire washer brush without fear for it at the car wash!). It also stood up to rocks and branches like nothing. In fact the only issue I had was a close clearance on the driver door to the fender. It peel a spot off after the first year, and Line-X just touched it up for free.

Hmm... I was thinking in the $3-4K range would be doable, might need to re-evaluate. At least a van is easy lines (not that I know what makes a paint job easy). Line-X looks sick though! Did you just get it done at the line-x shop, or go through a body shop?
