I've contemplated paying for DS-1, but in the end, have never bothered. I hear a few of the majors have it as a policy.

After 10+ years in home theatre and automation I decided to start my own company after I left my last employer. Loving it. I do everything from basic TV sales and installation to full blown automation systems with in wall iPads, motorized TV lifts and 20+ zones of audio/video.

I train Orca whales in the Bow River. Pay is decent, no complaints.

Seriously, Im a Trained monkey/Millwright, building PCP pumps for the oil field. Basically the pumps & pumping systems we build replace Pumpjacks entirely, only these ones are big enough to fit in the back of a 1/2 ton.
Not bad work, we ship them all over the world, Sudan, Kuwait, Australia, Oman, Russia, Kazakhstan (etc etc).

The thing about it I hate is that it still basically is oil field manufacturing, so its just boom bust & echo. Thanks to our global diversification while local sales may be down, their bumping other places, which really helps. We make tons of other shit too, but thats basically the jest of it.

What NDT tickets do you have? I did it for a while, got ticketed up, just hated living out of a suitcase since in town work licked balls.
