That's good to know. Banana Leaf seems to be the place right now to get your Malay fix.
FML I have to update this list.
Anyone have recommendations for a cake? No flavor preference so it'll be a free-for-all.
I highly recommend http://www.prettysweetco.com/Originally posted by flipstah

You can take Koto's unagi tempura off the list, they don't have it anymore
2020 Bump!
Especially in our times now, let's hear some of your local favorites and it may entice others to give it a try. Unfortunately a lot of the ones on the first page don't exist any more.
I'll start. Over the past month, I tried the Tiramisu at Lina's Italian Market and quite enjoyed it. Grab a tray and share with the family!
I like this thread.

Really liking the new pizza place APG on 14th street sw.
It’s actually pretty good.
Nowhere as good as noble pie / 88. But it’s also not in the middle of a rail yard .

Nice! I've been trying to find a good pizza place around where I'm at in Killarney and nothing is that great. Sauces was the biggest let down ever.

is it better? I mean, it's good, but I didn't think it was better. Although maybe I just hate that location and how crowded and disorganized it is. Last time I was there our food got mixed up with someone else, so we didn't get what we ordered.
At least Tacos Mexico has a waitress who brings your shit and there's room to sit down without people jostling you while you wait and strain to hear your name being called.

I do see that place busy from time to time, we go there frequently because there's a Filipino restaurant there (Adobe Experience beside Pizza 73), keep telling my wife that we should try the tacos there so maybe this weekend. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Both are very good options, but T/M is cheaper and has a lot more variety to their menu. M/P has a great salsa bar selection, though with covid now is that still an option? T/M only has one salsa that you have to ask for and it's nothing special.
Now I want tacos.
Something for you guys to add to the list to try:
Paros Real Greek - Roast Lamb Plate
Also Kreta Souvlaki Greek Food, which is actually part of a gas station on 17th, been there forever. It's cheap and damn good.
