    I live in bowness, police helicopter is on the loud speaker ordering my area to evacuate immediately. they tried to open the dam but the dam broke and the water is pooling very fast. i'm a 5 min walk from bow river, and bowness park which is completely flooded

    Wasn't saying that Quarry park was flooding, but just replying to the post that said that there was an emergency alert for quarry park.


    .... Actually, some of quarry park actual backs straight onto the bow river. Kind of like some of douglas dale does, so it wouldn't surprise me. That whole area of deerfoot (ikea, la farge, burnco) is pretty low laying.

    LaFarge did flood in 2005. Hopefully QP stays dry lol.

    QP is in the floodplane. It most definitely can flood.
