If it's not torque limited in the first 3 gears it will be undrivable with that much power going to the front wheels.Originally posted by Darkane
340hp possible. New rumour anyway

I agree. Have to see how it does before passing judgment. Price is irrelevant as we've seen by Focus RS. There will be so few that price won't matter.Originally posted by Darkane
Let's give it the fair chance. Honda's never been grunt.
If it's balanced, light, and most importantly fun to drive then it's a winner.
Never know, it may be the best hot hatch we've seen. The 9th gen had a lot of praise. This new chassis is much better.
From all I've read and seen online is that Focus RS is an amazing track car. Even so the old CTR has comparable times. Where RS falls apart is outside of track driving. Lots of reviewers call it unbearable to drive in anything but comfort mode. If Honda can sort that out I think it will be a better car to live with daily if you can get over the looks.
I am skeptical that the CTR will be any better than the RS with regards to that. The reviews on the current gen in Europe seem to point to the fact that the car is fairly compromised when it comes to daily driving as it rides quite stiff.Originally posted by Aleks

Production version being released tomorrow at Geniva auto show.
Looks identical to the concept car but only 306hp (not the 340 which was rumored). 20" wheels, brembos, blah blah blah.
This in white isn't bad looking. But I'm definitely curious how it drives. On paper it doesn't look that stunning.
In regards to those saying the RS is unbearable, I think it's all relative. I have driven over 1200 km in the RS in one go (~9.5-11 hour trip) at 4 different occasions and never once did I feel it was uncomfortable.

If you guys look really closely at the North American Spec pictures, it doesn't have some things from the European debut. No Honda Sensing, no power folding mirrors, it also looses the carbon fiber side skirts for the plain black plastic ones. No heated seats in the interior photos either.
Canadian model will probably include those things but take that as you will. No sunroof or autodimming mirror too.
2016 Honda Civic Touring
Hopefully they'll keep the R+ button and the fancy pants Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension. I am quite interested at how well the rear torsion beam setup will perform.
I can't wait to see this in person
Hasn't the Civic had independent suspension since 2006...?
2016 Honda Civic Touring
This new civic looks awesome. I think Honda did a great job with it and it will be sweet to see these cars on the street. It is what it is right. FWD is what the CTR is all about. I think this car will satisfy the diehard Honda fans who have been waiting.
lol I'll take one in white.
40k here, ya think?

Oh shit. I wonder what allocation will be like.
It would be cool to drive one but not interested in any bidding wars etc. I can just wait and buy a 2019 or 2020 when the hype subsides a bit lol

2-3 dealer as far as I know. Early rumours 2500 first year 4500 second year. That said Honda hasn't said anywhere this is a limited vehicle. They should be able to build as many as needed.Originally posted by max_boost

I hope Honda doesn't go Nintendo with inventory on this one.
