Closest thing out that way I can think of are Lazy Loaf and Cadence. Neither of which are that close to there unfortunately.

Cafe Fresco in Royal Oak? Never been there but that's one non-chain cafe in the area. It's right by the Church up the hill from Tuscany/Rocky Ridge Station. You can let me know how it is.

If you don't mind Cochrane, they have Cochrane Coffee Traders, Legacy and The Gentry. All are great.

Doing a little work from Cafe Fresco this morning. Nice place, lots of natural light. If you need a little booze in the morning they also serve Kahlua, Baileys, or beer. I just went with a latte. Looks good, although no art in the foam.Also two dudes working here, so I decided to forego my normal flirting with the barista. Your mileage may vary.
