I just finished it too and I agree, Stannis doesn't look anything like I imagined him to be. Given he's such a stubborn ass in the books, I kind of pictured him to be a younger, thinner, less hairier version of Robert.

It's in most of the books, that Stannis is the older brother. It comes up often after Robert dies, as Stannis thinks that he should get the crown, as he's the oldest anyways, and Renly thinks he should get it since he's "next in line" and how Stannis got the good lands (sorry, it's been a while since I read the books, so names aren't all there)

Stannis was born the second son to Steffon Baratheon and Cassana Estermont, the younger brother of the Robert Baratheon and older brother of Renly Baratheon.

It's probably due to the fact that he acts like such an old man. I expected him to be a gaunt, older looking version of Robert.

They are Dinklage's mannerisms. It's part of why HE booked the role, not a "smart addition" It's who he is, blended into his imaginary character in its imaginary circumstance...

I didn't mean it that way, Zorro. I know that's how actors work and such, but there is mention in the book about how the "Cruelest joke of all" brought a negative reaction from Tyrion, and the way that Dinklage makes it happen was spot on perfect

Liked the episode, but did anyone else feel a little cheated at the fade to black battle? I'm feeling like its just cheaper to film boobies than even a brief action scene and the shows suffering for it.
