Help me find a phone (basic, unlocked, can use in Asia)

I'm looking to buy a small, thin, light phone that I can use in both Asia and here in Canada (I'm currently with Fido)...I have no idea where to start, I need it to have a touchscreen so I can use Google Maps, I don't mind the Samsung J3 but I would prefer something more around the $100 mark and the smaller the screen the better! (<4 inch)

Be careful with those J1 and J3.

They are sold "unlocked" but will instant-lock to the first SIM you put into it.

Moto G4 Play would be perfect for you.... it was $129 on sale recently, but I think it's now $149
Check superstore prepaid section. Bestbuy also has it, but not on sale currently at $199

I don't think they even make smaller than 4" phones in Android world, 4.5" is probably the minimum

Thanks for the heads up on the Samsungs...

I was able to find my old Samsung S4 Mini! It's locked to Koodo though, they charge $50....what is a reputable place to get it unlocked for cheaper??

I've had pretty good luck unlocking Samsung phones using eBay sellers.

Sometimes some sellers have a code ready within 10 minutes of placing your order.
