Isn't the challenger due for a major overhaul? Is this the swan song variant?

As much as this isn't my thing and I dislike FCA, I am really impressed they are doing this. Good to see a company build something unique for enthusiasts before we are all stuck in self driving transportation pods.
It's the only thing they can do, they don't really have the new fangled technology base built up like the other majors. They don't have a real stand alone small car anymore, they are partnering with mazda to build eco boxes for them. Trumps election probably bought them some much needed time as car company to either find a real dancing partner, or at least start diversifying their overall model selection to get into the new tech in a real way... But yeah, I still like what they are building, I don't car if gas went to 12 bucks a litre, I know I'd still be buying the retro goodness.

I hope the demon comes with over 800 HP.
That way, if I buy one, I can say I have more HP on my car than sq.ft in my condo
Only 800 square feet? That's baller?
Will fuck off, again.
Who said I was a baller? :POriginally posted by speedog

It yanks the tires....... stock!
I like neat cars.
Quickest 1/4 mile production car, would require roll cage at NHRA events. Intake air is air conditioned, quite a beast in a straight line - Car and Driver article.
The AWD 707hp Hellcat Jeep is also going to be a blast on the street. Much more usable than the Demon.
- Production car world record - Yank the front wheels for 2.92'.
- Worlds most powerful production V8 840hp / 770 lb-ft
- World's fastest 0-60 for a production car 2.3 sec
- World's fastest production car 1/4 mile 9.65 @ 140mph
- 6 year 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty
WOW!
A few great vids from the reveal below.

And the warranty fully covers race track use. . But it is also the first production car to be banned at race tracks for not having a cage.
This is just nuts, and I love it! Dodge has taken the bar and put it right through the roof.

Banned at NHRA sanctioned events, there are probably other venues where it would be allowed.Originally posted by Darell_n

Both those don't seem true at the moment, based on google results anyway.Originally posted by 90_Shelby

The car is hideous but that is a lot of power! It's cool you can buy stuff like this. Looks like it's on (almost) slicks too, that's got to be helping a lot.
