    Default Longines

I’m very excited to announce that Gem by Carati is now an official agent of Longines watches!

Founded in 1832, Longines has over 180 years of experience in the Swiss watch market and today is among the world’s leading watch brands. Longines’ rich history has inspired the four pillars of its collections:
    Elegance
Longines’ elegance rests on its aesthetic heritage, expressed in a subtle mix of classical design and innovative refinement.

    Watchmaking tradition
Since 1832, the original aim has remained unchanged; to the seize the spirit of the moment, to dare to adopt technically and aesthetically avant-garde designs without giving in to the giddiness of fasion, and to achieve excellence without abandoning sobriety.

    Sport
On land, under water, in the air, Longines has always been deeply engaged with every aspect of performance and sports.

    Heritage
Longines combines the striking aesthetic character of its most outstanding historical models with the most advanced horological technology.

Please email me at [email protected] if you have any questions or would like a quote.

    Thanks!

    Default Heritage Retrograde

Our first featured Longines is the Heritage Retrograde. This striking piece features the ETA made Longines exclusive Caliber L698 movement, housed in a 41mm stainless steel case.
The blued steel hands display the hours, minutes, day, date, small seconds, and a 24 hour second time zone on a polished white lacquered dial.
This is a very unique looking watch and one of my personal favourites to wear.

    Default Longines Heritage Twenty-Four Hours

In the 1950’s, Longines produced an aviator watch exclusively for Swissair which featured a distinctive 24–hour dial. Today, Longines presents a modern iteration of the watch featuring the same unique 24-four hour dial. Rather than a traditional watch where the hands make two full rotations a day, this watch makes only one sweep of the dial every 24 hours.
Like most pilot watches, the Longines Twenty-four hours is oversized at 47.5mm and features clearly legible Super-Luminova numbers.

Justin, what's the score on the new Conquest Heritage? Are you getting in any stainless steel models? If so, when?

Obviously it's not for me, but I've got a friend whose interest is steeping. We'll drop by in a week or three.

    Justin, thanks.

Sorry, I should have been more specific - the one we're eyeing is the 60th anniversary limited edition, it doesn't have a date complication. Something tells me the MSRP is a little higher on it, too ;-)

That said, this one could be an option as well. Do they both house the ETA 2824-2? Are they both 35mm in diameter?

There's a small chance we'll drop by this weekend, otherwise it'll be on that of May 17.

Sorry statick, that makes more sense.

The 60th anniversary edition is the replacement for the model I posted above:

Thanks. Whenever we come, we'll chat about the differences between these two and look at similar models. I'll drop you an email once I know when it'll be.

Just a heads up that as of August 1, Longines will be implementing a price change on most of its pieces.
All 18k gold models will be going up in price, as will many of the automatic pieces.
However, most of the remaining quartz models will be decreasing in price.

If you would like a quote or have any questions regarding the new price list, please feel free to pm me.

^ It launched in Basel this year. It's not available in Canada yet, but it should be available this fall.

It's a 47.5mm case, just like the original 24 hour watch, but this version also features a single button column wheel chronograph function.
I don't have final CDN pricing yet, but it'll come in at around $5,000.
Seriously gorgeous, just wish I could pull off a 47.5mm. lol

    Default The Legend Diver

Our next featured watch is the beautiful Longines Legend Diver.
As an homage to the original 1960 model, the design and dimensions are largely unchanged. Both the original and the current Legend Diver feature 42mm cases with two screw down crowns. The crown at 2 o’clock is used to adjust the inner rotating bezel while the crown at 4 o’clock is used to adjust the time and date. Powered by the L633 movement under a super compressor case back, the Longines Legend Diver is water resistant to 300 meters.
This is a gorgeous timepiece that looks great with almost anything.

To continue with our diver's theme, this week's featured Longines is the brand new Heritage Diver. This brand new model is a throw back to the 70's and feature's a period correct 43mm cushion shape case.
Shown with a chronograph complication, the Heritage Diver is water resistant to 300 meters and features an internal rotating bezel operated by the crown at 10 o'clock.

The Heritage Diver is a very eye catching watch that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
