Hey Mario, I was looking at your website, and I don't know if I missed it or what, but do your "regular groups play every 6/49 draw, or do they only do the ones with higher expected payouts? Same question for the temporary groups.

The groups, both regular and temporary, only buy tickets when there are larger than average expected values which happen only when the jackpots are large.

Usually, the larger the expected value, the more tickets we buy. For example, we are spending about $3,000 on tonight's Lotto 649 draw. If the jackpot rolls again, we will spend over $4,000 on the next draw.

Sales of $25.9 million were 49% higher than the average for the $2 version of the game and 14% higher than the previous draw. There was a 54% chance the jackpot would not be won, a 33% chance of 1 winning ticket and a 13% chance of 2 or more winners. The payout was a well above average 72%.

How do you guys check 1,000+ tickets? By hand or are all the numbers registered with WCLC and they tell you?

I use the self checker at a lottery ticket retailer. Each slip contains 6 tickets, so I am checking about 170 slips. Takes about 20 minutes.
