We are up to 966 tickets ($2,898) for the $21 million Lotto 649 jackpot. Our odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 14,476. Assuming sales increase by about 10% for this draw, our odds of winning the $1 million guaranteed prize are 1 in 8,519.
There are still shares available in all 10 groups but Group R1 is getting close to full.
Good luck.
Parts of the Interac email money transfer service has been down since yesterday evening. So if you have tried to make a payment to join a group, please be patient. I expect it will be back up sometime today. There is still lots of time before the draw tomorrow evening.
Good luck.
The Interac service is now working for me even though they are still reporting some problems. We are now up to 990 tickets and will probably hit the predicted 300 tickets.
Good luck.

Another big Lotto 649 group play for the October 5 draw. The cost to join a group for just the October 5 draw is $10. The cost to join all 10 groups is $100. There are shares available in all 10 groups. We will probably spend around $3,000 on the next draw.
Official results for the October 2 draw will be posted later today.
Good luck.

Or send an Interac transfer to my email account (mario at hiawatha dot ca). If paying via Interac, also email me your full name, mailing address and indicate you are at least 19 years of age. The information is used for positive identification in the event of a big win.
Good luck.
I have never noticed that button before. I was looking for something in one of your posts.
Look at that, you learn something new everyday.

$14,000.
Hey Mario, I was looking at your website, and I don't know if I missed it or what, but do your "regular groups play every 6/49 draw, or do they only do the ones with higher expected payouts? Same question for the temporary groups.
Thanks.

The groups, both regular and temporary, only buy tickets when there are larger than average expected values which happen only when the jackpots are large.Originally posted by ExtraSlow

Usually, the larger the expected value, the more tickets we buy. For example, we are spending about $3,000 on tonight's Lotto 649 draw. If the jackpot rolls again, we will spend over $4,000 on the next draw.
Good luck.

Sales of $25.9 million were 49% higher than the average for the $2 version of the game and 14% higher than the previous draw. There was a 54% chance the jackpot would not be won, a 33% chance of 1 winning ticket and a 13% chance of 2 or more winners. The payout was a well above average 72%.

How do you guys check 1,000+ tickets? By hand or are all the numbers registered with WCLC and they tell you?
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
I use the self checker at a lottery ticket retailer. Each slip contains 6 tickets, so I am checking about 170 slips. Takes about 20 minutes.Originally posted by FraserB
