    Default My Projects! pic intensive!

Decided I would do a photo montage of some recent projects that I have been doing. Perhaps it can help people with some of their own DIY projects.

Latest project for a Beyonder who bought a fridge too big. Ended up ripping out his end cabinet to fit the fridge, and asked me to make a wine rack for the end, and this is what I came up with.

This was the first day of progress. Built out of 5/8ths MDF, and cut entirely on my table saw.

Took it home with me so I could sand it, prime it, sand it some more, then prime it again. Tried a couple different paints, but nothing was going on the way I wanted it to, and ended up using an aerosol and it came out great!

Test fit, and was completely satisfied how it ended up sitting. Had to shim it up a bit.

    And installed, completely finished.

Apparently a lot of the pics are going link dead, so here is a slideshow link.

Latest work was I build a deck for another Beyonder from scratch.

    Start:

Holes dug. In the rain. and HAIL. I got hailed on 4 times during this.

    footings poured:

    Posts and beam up!

    Joists!

    Decking!

    Railing!

    All finished!

Meh, part of the territory. I am waiting for a fence or a deck to build. Hoping I can pick a few of those up this summer.

I am just taking a stab in the dark, but I am going to guess they didn't want to pay to re-insulate everything and the slight drop in R value wasn't worth the expense

Tha insulation was done by the previous owner, not the current one, or myself.

It would be a slight drop in R value, and it is a garage. To fix it, it would require stripping the vapor barrier and trashing it, reinstalling the insulation, putting up new vapor barrier, tacking and tuck taping it, and then putting up the drywall.

A lot of extra costs for no gain.

I thought of that too. But I won't take it on if I dont think I can do it. And they have also given me a pass on things, at least for now since I am not doing this professionally.

I would RAge be helping? Or a total start to finish job?

Your drywall patch work definitely has me interested next time I fuck up my wall. God i hate drywall so much. Just finished my dad's basement, did all the plumbing, electrical and framing, drywall...no thanks, dad did most of that himself. Hate how it just sucks all moisture out of you haha
