im switching from a blackberry, and blackberries compress the data, so i only have 1gb on my plan... is that more than enough for androids?
Same here except now I'm on 4.0.3 and still no problems, not to mention the $10 from Google FTW.Originally posted by dr_jared88

I'm going to find each and every one of your little internet friends!
I now feel like I went into shock. I started breathing heavily and lost my sense of what was going on.
I moved back to a 100MB plan with rogers, with $5 for every addition 100MB I need.Originally posted by K3RMiTdot

I found my first 2 days data usage was about 200MB, but in a month I'm only at about 300MB OTA.
I have wifi at work and home and that's covering 95% of my browsing. At 1Gb you should be fine if you have wireless at home/work unless you really hit the downloads hard.

4.0.3 is what I have on Nexus S. And I believe that's why they pushed initially.Originally posted by Cos
is 4.0.3 been officially pushed? I may have to go back to stock. I like RevHD but it is causing me some lockup issues (google reader, google market has stopped working)

So today I went to the google maps app which is installed by default on the phone, typed in "cochrane" and hit search, just playing around. It fully and completely locked the phone, with screen on. No combination of buttons or reset would do anything, and I had to pull off my Otterbox and take out the battery, which was super annoying.
Has anyone had that happen to them before? I'm scared to open up google maps now, because it froze the phone so bad it needed a battery pull.
Just noticed Telus has listed the Nexus on their site.
However no pentaband and no NFC?
Also seems that the size is different, a bit shorter and much thicker.
Odd. I normally pride myself on being up on these things but this is new to me, anyone have any info on this?
EDIT: Seems its just a typo on the telus end

4.0.3 is only out for the Nexus S currently.Originally posted by Cos
Damn they must have pushed it. I think 4.0.1 was the first release. Upgraded to 4.0.2 almost right away. 4.0.3 was delayed I thought as I only had 4.0.2 when I rom'd.
4.0.2 was pushed, 4.0.3 Roms are all over the place however there is NFC issues on several which is why I am on RevHD 2.1.2 still (4.0.2 ROM)
Any issues you are seeing most likely came from titanium backup restore or failing to wipe cache and dalvik when originally flashing the ROM.
*side note, Gapps errors (the apps you described) are almost 100% linked to dalvik and permissions so I would really look at if you have changed your kernel or didn't wipe dalvik.

i had mine for about a day, the volume really sucked ass on mine it wasnt loud at all, and the browser was slower than my blackberry... so i sold it.
Maybe i just got a shit device.. not sure if anyone has the same problems as me or maybe im just picky.
I haven't found the stock browser to be slow at all - but then again, I've never tried a BB browser.
I agree with the volume being too low. It's not as loud as I had hoped. Installing Volume+ did the trick, though. It's way too loud now, haha.

Volume is low, like said before Volume+ makes it super loud and is an easy fix.
When it comes to browsers that's really surprising as in mobile tests there is not a smartphone that has a slower rendering browser then BB.
Different strokes for different folks tho.

My browser, even on the cell network and not Wifi is all but instant. It is faster than my iPhone on Wifi. I would think something was wrong with your particular unit.Originally posted by K3RMiTdot
