are you guys talking about backdoor? people are always heading over there with no gear... i've seen many boarders who can't even '1 foot in' to the sign head out that way...

That's probably the side door. There is fewer people on the backdoor proper since it requires 10-15 mins of hiking up a smaller trail. In either case the guys who got stuck up there likely were hiking wawa ridge which is neither backdoor or sidedoor.

Went to Louise today. VERY slushy down the front. The back was nice. Upper back with moguls was powder but there were areas covering patches of giant semi-frozen slush balls that owned.

Also... louise is still open NEXT weekend.

had an amazing day at shine today, was super nice and sunny, soft jumps in the park and the top of divide was nice and groomed, perfect for some speed runs and a person best, 126.7 km/hr!

ski tracks, its a wicked app! i use the free version but i think i will get the main one which is only .99. it uses the internal gps of the i phone and is super accurate from what i have seen, it maps your day, shows you elevation, tracks number of runs, really cool to play with

Made it to Louise for bonus weekend and it was the best day of the season! It had melted so much that the whole mountain was smooth but slushy, it was like a powder day. 20 degrees and tickets were only $25 bucks. Big win.

Anyone know of any good end of season sales still going on? I want/need to replace almost all my gear now that I finally have a job.

I could really use a new wide board for next season.

Nice pic Asp! Nice clean grab, stylin! Dunno if it's in your hit list, but if you lay that right shoulder down and keep that exact grab profile you should nail a flatspin 360 no problem.

Season's just getting going down here in NZ, been super pumped for a long time. Gonna be on some Lib Tech Freeride Nas' and in some Full Tilts for the first time. Stoked to see how they feel over the season, made up some footbeds and customized the inner a little bit. SHould be hella comfortable. I'll try and post up some pics and stuff from the season down here.

I guess I haven't been out there in a few days, but when I was, I felt that with very careful terrain choices and being very careful about our timing, it was pretty reasonable. I take avalanche safety very seriously and am typically more conservative than others I know.... amusing you're referring to avalanches.

Too the guys looking for deals on boarding products I'd say the source is your best bet for a mix of quality and price. They have some wicked deals and probably some of the most knowledgeable/chill staff which always makes it better as they can help set u up for success. Id suggest the shawnessy or 17th location as the kensington one seems to be less on the customer service and deals.

I just grabbed a new board from them and saved big $$$.
