If they haven't traded him already, they won't trade him now. If they are going to move him, it won't be until the trade deadline when people are shuffling things around for the expansion draft. Cheveldayoff isn't going to unload him for the sake of unloading him and a lot of teams need/want a player like Trouba.

This isn't like Kane who was a pain in the ass.

They're going to try and keep him, even if he wants to leave, they'll try and convince him to stay and that's been the position all along, they never wanted to trade him. They could have already agreed behind doors what they're going to do.

Defenseman says he's committed to Winnipeg after signing two-year contract

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba rescinded his trade request Tuesday, one day after signing a two-year contract.

Trouba, 22, had asked for a trade through his agent, Kurt Overhardt, on Sept. 24, citing a desire to play on the right side, his natural side.

"I've committed to signing here for two years," Trouba said. "When I signed that piece of paper, everything changes in my mind. I'm now part of this team and whatever I'm asked to do for these next two years while I'm under contract is what I'm going to do.

"I want to play hockey. I'm a hockey player and I'm extremely happy to be back in the locker room and playing hockey. That's what I love to do. I think that's what every hockey player dreams of, is playing in the NHL, and I have the opportunity to do that."

The big news in that article was that Trouba's agent wasn't present at the meeting. Second time that Trouba's gone off the reservation since September, although in his presser Chevy claimed the meeting was done with the agent's blessing - not sure if that's just to save face for Overhardt, who has refused to comment on the signing.

Pretty clean hit actually. But then I'm a fan of the Scott Stevens school of body checking. Skate with your head down and suffer the consequences. BUT he can expect someone to come after him, right or wrong..that's just what is done. The idiots are the Devils jumping in on two guys squaring off, and almost stepping on Larson's head with a skate blade.
I can tell you from experience Larson never felt a thing. Those don't hurt. It's the next few days that are the killer.

I think Markstrom was just trying to clear the area seeing his teammate out cold and everyone else being such dicks around him. Poor Larsen got kicked in the head at least 3 times.

I might be blind but I didn't see anyone try to film it.

Yeah I quickly posted up this clip and you can't see it in this one. Search for others...you can see him clearly look at the fan and then back up against the glass to block him.

Nothing wrong with that hit.... and it looked like Hall was surprised Larson was moving that direction with his head down. On top of that Hall was barely skating and totally let up. No penalty on the play and not a chance there's a suspension.

Edit: Suspend Sbisa for that suicide pass!

First I saw it now, you can tell (imo) Hall wasn't trying to hit him in that position. If he was lining him up intentionally that would have been WAY worse. Terrible timing, hope he's not facing a long recovery.....

Agreed, Hall barely hit him that hard, Larsen just put himself in about the worst position possible and paid the price. Sucks but hopefully he's OK after getting his bell rung like that, I hear he's out of hospital and cleared to go back to the Canucks.

DOPS already confirmed there will be no punishment for Hall, it was just a clean hit in unfortunate circumstances.
