Not even a takeover target?
Sure they are. But there are lots of takeover targets that are WAY less risky. If you buy the stock for $1, and it goes to $0.50, you don't win when it gets bought out for a "40% premium" at $0.70.
I have to agree, Crescent point must have its eyes on it now though.Originally posted by Feruk

Yeah them and PWT have gone nuts.
Yeah that was a 1-bagger. Too bad I didn't buy any. Should've gone with my initial analysis - I thought they were oversold. Whatever.
I think it's acquisition speculation.
I was going to buy some FFH this morning. Stupid fucking good news. If it weren't for family day.

Anyone want to suggest their 2-3 top long hold stocks that they're really happy with right now?
TELUS - TU
GILEAD - GILD
All have kept the money coming in nicely for me.
I'm trying to diversify away from O&G so here are some non O&G stocks that I've been holding.
AYA - bought pokerstars last year
TCN
CHW
DR - just bought some today

CWW - Water ETF
Been in both for years. Love both.
As a newbie investor, I seem to shy away from stocks/ETF's that are low volume. I see that CWW.TO average volume is about 3,923(M).Originally posted by Feruk

Is my thought process misplaced? I figured that with low volume stocks, any upswings or movement would be few and far between. I suppose this is the LT thread, so in this case the time horizon is 2-3 years and greater.
P/E ratio of S&P over 20 right now. Definitely due for a correction.
