P.engg (EIT) membership question: Renew or not while unemployed?

Apega has been bugging me to renew, but I'm not employed now. I don't have a p.engg yet, still an EIT.
Should I just cancel it in the meantime and re-instated it when I need it?

Call Appega and tell them you're not employed and you should be given a greatly reduced price, or they can properly suspend the account vs just letting it lapse.

I believe they changed the rules recently where if you are unemployed you don't have to pay (or pay a greatly reduced rate). I also think they raised the rates for the rest of the people to make up for some of the difference, lol.

Don`t let your membership lapse while unemployed. It will make finding your next job much harder.
