Slam Dunk comp looks weak this year. Round Robin with 100% fan voting.
    Agreed.

I think the dunk comp is going to be brutal this year. I really wish they would have a throwback year. Vince, Kobe, Jrich etc. Hell, I just want to see Vince back in the comp haha.

Anyone watching the Knicks/Heat? Not even half way through the 1st Q and its very entertaining!

The TBJ guys bring up an interesting point about why they don't think guys like Westbrook and Rose may not be good contest dunkers. They basically said that they are freakishly athletic, but they see they don't show any creativity. They call the two guys great in-game dunkers, but not in a contest.

Like stated, they're more of the in-game dunker type. They aren't known for their dunks like some guys are. They are more fitted for the Skills Comp.

Unless they have the kind of vertical and creative dunk awareness, I don't think they would make it past the first round.

As for Vince, his top tier career died years ago, along with his line of VCs. IMO he's turned into one of those types that move around the league to keep his job as support.

I have no choice but to agree but he's still my favorite player regardless of his career.

I still think he is arguably the best dunker in NBA history. Yes, better then Jordan, Webb, Drexler, Wilkins, Erving and the like.

I still think he could enter a dunk contest and put on a show and a better show then jumping over the hood of a Kia..

He's basically a placeholder on most starting lineups. You love having him come off the bench for you, and you wouldn't mind having start, but you're looking for someone better to start in his place.

Just finished the rising star game. They should of put John wall in the dunk competition. He would of killed it. The rising star game was fun to watch, I was very surprised. It was a dunk show. Rubio was passing like he was a globe trotter. Irving was having his own 3 point competition.

^He used to be one of my favorite players before. But can he still be good coming out of retirement? Has anyone come out of retirement good?

I would say both. No playoff trips the 2nd time, but his stats were decent for a 40 year old.

But that missed dunk at the All-Star Game

Set some records for being 40! Actually had really good numbers but I think some of it was due to players shying away a bit.

When you have bums like Kwame Brown as teammates, you'd do some impressive shit. Haha. He dropped like 45pts one game.

I heard when they got back from a recent road trip that he didn't report to the gym or something along those lines... so possible a combination of all of the above.
