I know Duncan is supposed to be great and all but watching him shoot bank shots all day makes me

Cause Parker is a french moron who cheated on the hottest wife ever...
Metta gets 7 games.
I called 7 or 8, but I thought 8 made more sense since he means he potentially misses an entire series. Unless they think the Lakers are going to win in 5 or 6 games

Wouldn't have been surprised even if it had been 10. MWP had been playing so well too and just got back into game shape. I think he meant to elbow Harden with a cheap shot to the back but got him in the head instead.
Oh well...adds more drama to a OKC/LA series.
Hoping the Kings relocate to Settle this summer.
Gregg Popovich - COY. Not even a close contest, though, I feel he should have gotten more 1st place votes. Next up, the Larry O'Brien in June.

You don't think Thibodeau repeating #1 overall team with his best player missing half a season, his #2 guard missing half a season, deng missing several games deserves to be a very close contest??
No. Spurs were only 1 game shy of tying them for the season record last season so that's nothing too different and this season they are tied #1 overall. You also have to consider how little minutes each player plays. Everyone plays under 28 mins a game, including their superstars and they still manage to have the number 1 ranked offense in the league whereas other teams play their stars high 30 to low 40 mins/game to win. They manage this with aging veterans with Duncan being 36 and Manu at 34. Their scoring is spread so well from 1-12(13/14 or however many dress) that they have lots of games where any player that steps on the court scores. Manu also missed quite a few games this season. The Spurs dominate teams with their bench players and that says a lot. And according to a lot of the "expert" - the ones who voted - it wasn't close. Popp had 77 1st place votes and Thibs was 2nd with 27. They're also, now, the sole record holder for most consecutive 50+ win seasons at 13 and all under the same head coach.

I think it's impressive when you can put together multiple big winning streaks, strategically sit your stars, and continue to winOriginally posted by colinxx235

Oooh! Thanks for reminding me. They also put together TWO 11 game winning streaks. No other team in the league even did that once. They also finished off the season winning 10 straight, which I don't think any other team did this season either. That's 3 double digit win streaks in a league where no other team even did it once (to my knowledge). That's with their top scorer only averaging 18 ppg.Originally posted by sexualbanana

Another day, another sweep.
Too bad lakers couldn't close games. Easily should've been up 3-1 right now (blew 7 pt lead with 2 min in game 2 and 13 pt 4th quarter lead in game 4). They're probably done on Monday night. Gasol is gone for sure and Bynum might be too. LA bench has been brutally bad without Odom.
Kobe is too old to be an effective closer.
